Solution:
First, the shopkeeper weighs= 8 kg of wheat
Then he weighs =2 kg of wheat
Total amount of wheat = 8 kg + 2 kg = 10 kg
Therefore, Ram bought 10 kg of wheat.
Example 2:
Siri purchased 3 kg apples, 2 kg pears, and 3 kg mangoes. Find the total weight of fruits purchased.
Solution:
Apples = 3 kg
Pears = 2 kg
Mangoes = 3 kg
Therefore, total weight of fruits purchased = 3 kg + 2 kg + 3 kg = 8 kg fruits.

(i) Subtract 864 grams from 562 grams
(ii) Add 3 kg and 750 grams
