Measuring Mass

We will learn here how to solve the word problems on measuring mass (i.e. addition and subtraction). The addition and subtraction of mass in grams (g) and kilograms (kg) is done in a similar way as in the case of ordinary numbers.

(ii) When both minuend and subtrahend are in grams, we get the difference also in grams and when both subtrahend and minuend are in kilograms, we get the difference also in kilograms. The subtraction takes place in a similar way in the subtraction process.
